BAD NEWZ BOX OFFICE COLLECTION DAY 7: THE VICKY KAUSHAL, TRIPTII DIMRI STARRER SEES A SLIGHT DROP ON THURSDAY, FRIDAY WILL REMAIN CRUCIAL WITH 'DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE' RELEASING

It's a week today since the release of 'Bad Newz' and the movie has continued to remain quite steady over the last few days. It's a moderate budget movie and also had a limited release in around 1500 screens. So, the industry was quite happy with the fact that it had an opening of over Rs 8 crore and saw a growth over the weekend with collections over Rs 10 crore on it's first Saturday and Sunday. The film remained in the Rs 3 crore range from Monday to Wednesday. However, on its day 7, Thursday, it has seen a bit of a drop.

'Bad Newz' made Rs 2.85 crore on Thursday and with that the sum total so far is Rs 42.95 crore according to Sacnilk. The Friday numbers are going to be crucial to set the tone of its second weekend now. But it shall face tough competition from 'Deadpool & Wolverine' which is releasing today. According to the advance bookings for this Hollywood biggie, it is expected to make Rs 20-22 crore in India in its opening day. It has released in around 3000 screens in India. This is the kind of big opening number which Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' had in advance bookings and with the current sales added, the film had eventually managed to make more than Rs 30 crore on opening day.

So, 'Deadpool & Wolverine' may further lead to a drop in the numbers of 'Bad Newz', however, we shall have a clear idea of it once the Friday numbers come in.
