WOMAN WINS HER SECOND RS 8.3 CRORE LOTTERY JACKPOT IN 10 WEEKS

An American woman has won a $1 million lottery prize 10 weeks after securing a jackpot worth the same amount, which equals Rs 8.3 crore. Christine J. Wilson, of Attleborough, nearly gave up her lottery habit before reconsidering her decision and purchasing a Massachusetts State Lottery scratch-off ticket on whim.

The winner, who previously hit the top prize with a $50 Lifetime Millions in February, said she bought a $10 100X Cash scratch-off while visiting the Family Food Mart located on East Street in Mansfield.

“Wilson won her most recent prize playing the ‘100X Cash’ $10 instant ticket game,” Massachusetts Lottery said in a release. “As she did on February 23 when she claimed the first $1 million prize in the “Lifetime Millions” $50 instant ticket game, she opted to receive her prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes).”

After her first win, which came from a ticket she purchased Dubs’s Discount Liquors, Wilson told lottery officials that she will buy a car – and she did.

“This time, she said she plans to put her winnings into savings,” the release read.
