KALKI 2898 AD: BIG BUCKS SPENT ON ACTORS, FIND OUT HOW MUCH THE ACTORS LIKELY TO HAVE CHARGED

Directed by Nag Ashwin, 'Kalki 2898 AD' is one of the biggest films to be released this year and one of the most expensive films made. That is no doubt as the film has a rich cast in the film playing key characters. The film has Rebel stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani, with such actors involved in a project one can expect a big remuneration on only the cast of the film.

Approximately, the film's overall budget is speculated to be around Rs 600 crore, with a big allotment having been made to the paycheck of the cast. According to a report by Gulte, the lead actor Prabhas is expected to be charging an enormous fee of Rs 150 crore for his role.

Deepika Padukone who will be seen next to Prabhas as the female lead is said to be charging Rs 20 crore. Similarly, veterans Amitabh Bachchan, who is playing the role of the immortal 'Ashwatthama' and Kamal Haasan are said to have negotiated a fee of Rs 20 crores each for their character roles. Additionally, Disha Patani, portraying another pivotal character, is rumoured to have pocketed Rs 5 crores from the project. When considering the remuneration of other cast members, it's estimated that nearly Rs 250 crore has been allocated solely for the actors.

While Prabhas' immense popularity undoubtedly ensures a significant return on investment for the film's producers as the creators have invested heavily in the film. Teasers released so far have managed to meet expectations, indicating that 'Kalki' to be a mega film.

The film was initially announced to be released on May 9 but seems to have been delayed due to the Lok Sabha elections in the country. The makers haven't confirmed the release date of the film yet but it is expected to be after the elections.
